Tree on the Garage of the NEW house

Here it is. It has come up by the roots and must have softly fallen onto our brand new house.

Back to Knitting

Hurray!
We've about finished unpacking and I can go back to knitting. Last night, I finished an overall for my neighbor's new baby boy. It's so unbaby. Next, I'm getting back to my sock knitting. I have 3 to do immediately and am going to get started today.

House is Almost Finished

Here are the latest updates. We are waiting for the driveway, front walkway and grass, which is being hydroseeded right now.

Denmark Socks are Done

These are nice and thick, also a good quick knit. I'll catch up on this knit along someday.

House Outside is Done

Now we're waiting for the geo-thermal wells to be drilled. Sheet rockers are coming Tuesday. It's all about finishing now. Maybe someday I can go back to doing something besides selecting house related material.

The Flair and all

Here are some more update pictures. We love the fireplace, both inside and out, even though it looks like a stone monolith right now. You can see bump outs in the back, which are all modular.

House is Moving Along!

We are loving this whole thing. Rough inspections should happen this week and then we'll start with floors and all. So much work has been done that can't be seen. But here are progress reports. Just a note - the outside color is not what I thought, even though I painted numerous samples. It's grayer. But it will be fine.

Garage Coming

The workers put up this in one day. There's a second floor playroom coming and I bet they finish that in another day. You can see the boards around the middle of the house, which will be where the little flair is made with the cedar shingles. This is interesting.

House is Done in 3 Days

I can't believe it. I came home for lunch and the modular people are done and gone. Now the roofers are putting the copper flashing in and the roof trim itself is being installed. This is unreal - absolutely great so far.

More House Coming

See the first day and the second day. You won't believe it!

Modular House being Installed

On Tuesday, a bunch of flatbed trucks showed up with our house on it. Here it goes.

Our house was knocked down not even a week ago and already we're almost ready for a foundation. Here's how it looks today.

I'm back to work on my socks. Although I'm totally behind in all three Nancy Bush Knit Alongs, I'm determined to catch up.
