Hurray! We've about finished unpacking and I can go back to knitting. Last night, I finished an overall for my neighbor's new baby boy. It's so unbaby. Next, I'm getting back to my sock knitting. I have 3 to do immediately and am going to get started today.
Now we're waiting for the geo-thermal wells to be drilled. Sheet rockers are coming Tuesday. It's all about finishing now. Maybe someday I can go back to doing something besides selecting house related material.
Here are some more update pictures. We love the fireplace, both inside and out, even though it looks like a stone monolith right now. You can see bump outs in the back, which are all modular.
We are loving this whole thing. Rough inspections should happen this week and then we'll start with floors and all. So much work has been done that can't be seen. But here are progress reports. Just a note - the outside color is not what I thought, even though I painted numerous samples. It's grayer. But it will be fine.
The workers put up this in one day. There's a second floor playroom coming and I bet they finish that in another day. You can see the boards around the middle of the house, which will be where the little flair is made with the cedar shingles. This is interesting.
I can't believe it. I came home for lunch and the modular people are done and gone. Now the roofers are putting the copper flashing in and the roof trim itself is being installed. This is unreal - absolutely great so far.
