More Socks Finished

I know it seems like all I do is knit socks, but I had so many in process, that I have a bad case of the "finish what I started" syndrome. So I'm working backlog and there are more to go. Both of these pictures are of dark yarn, so not much detail shows. My husband is happy. Two pairs in two months...pretty good.

We Got a Cat

I love cats and the last one we had died at the vets while we were hiking in Utah. That's wierd, no?

So my son and I were buying dog food at the local Petsmart and there were a bunch of cats in small cages waiting to be adopted. I am a sucker for animals that don't have the home they deserve. And there are way too many of those and many of the cats we saw had been living in the tiny cages for months. So we asked if we could see some of them. The first one bit me. Nope, not for us. The second one nuzzled into my neck and that was that. We brought Sweetie home two days later and I can't imagine how anyone let her go. She's much friendlier and cuddlier than either of my two dogs. She sleeps with my 6 year old son and let's him do just about anything with her. Yes, everyone says dogs and cats don't mix, but Sweetie and my Cairn terrier now sleep together. Anilmals know things that we don't. Here's our brood.

Railway Socks for the Large One are Finished

My husband has a size 15 foot, which is perfectly in keeping with the rest of him. I just finished a pair of Nancy Bush socks for him and they are work of love, because they took forever. So here's a picture. He's going to have to wait an undetermined time for the next pair.
